Volunteers are a critical part of Victim Services of Peel. They help victims and their families heal. They also develop valuable skills in areas such as crisis intervention, court support, fundraising and more. Click here to learn more about becoming a volunteer.

Victim Services of Peel (VSOP) has a limited number of placement opportunities for College and University students who are in the final year of their program.
VSOP accepts resumes from students in their final year of the following programs: Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), Social Service Worker, Assaulted Women’s and Children’s Counsellor, and Criminology (for VSOP’s Bail Court Program).
VSOP has placement opportunities in the following programs: Crisis Response, Bail Court, Transitional Housing and Support, Safe Centre of Peel (SCoP) + Bail Court Support, Victim Quick Response Program (VQRP) – Human Trafficking, and the South Asian Family Enrichment (SAFE) Program.
If you are interested in a full school year placement (September – April), please forward your resume to info@vspeel.org by March 30 with ‘Student Placement Application’ in the subject line. Please indicate in your e-mail the days of the week that you will be available, and how many hours you need to complete.
Summer placements are only accepted for our Bail Court Program.
After reviewing your resume, we may call you to schedule a phone interview. If successful, the next step is an in-person interview. Successful candidates are required to pass a Police Records Check before they will be offered a placement.
