Charity Bingo Customer Service Ambassadors
Victim Services of Peel receives a portion of revenues through our partnership with the OCGA (Ontario Charity Gaming Association) that are vital to the programs and services we provide. Two customer service ambassadors must represent our agency during scheduled sessions for us to be eligible to receive our portion of the revenues. This role provides support to the Bingo Hall staff and runners, includes greeting and conversing with guests, assisting with bingo, food tray delivery, and clean up.
*Ambassadors are not required to handle money.
Session Days/Times:
Rama: Two sessions per month, held in Mississauga from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Tuesdays.
Delta: Two sessions per month, held in Brampton from 12:00 to 2:00 pm on Fridays.
Competencies Required: Comfortable with social interaction with the public, embrace diversity and convey a combination of warmth and confidence, able to consistently stand for a duration of two hours, dependable and able to effectively manage timelines and commitment, and enjoy serving others. Volunteers in this role must be available to commit to 2 shifts per month.
Application and Screening Process

You must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

Submission of the online application form.

Submission of two professional references which will be verified.

Complete a telephone interview with the Volunteer Program Coordinator.

Completion of a Vulnerable Sector Clearance.

Submission of all required forms and documentation including an oath of confidentiality.

Completion of virtual OLG training

Completion of on-site training shift
10. Must be physically and mentally able to perform the duties of the position.
*Applicants must be able to commit to one full year of active service following successful training outcomes.
